Program Fees and What You Receive

Tarot mastery is not something you purchase.
It is something you earn through experience, reflection, accountability, and ethical responsibility.

For this reason, Kathleen Meadows offers several ways to study, test, and deepen your work with the Tarot. Each option reflects a different stage of professional and personal readiness.

There is no pressure to advance quickly. Many students remain in supervision for years. That, in itself, is a sign of professionalism.

1. Free Online Tarot Courses

Cost: Free

Kathleen’s free Tarot courses and writings are available to anyone who wishes to study independently. These materials are designed to build foundational understanding, perspective, and respect for the Tarot.

There is no certification associated with free study.

Free Online Tarot Course - College of Tarot Reader

College of Tarot

Unearth Mystical Wisdom with Free Courses.

This path is ideal if you are:

  • Exploring Tarot for personal growth
  • New to Tarot study
  • Unsure whether professional reading is right for you

2. Tarot Readiness Consultation

Cost: $150 (60 minutes)

This private consultation helps determine whether certification or supervision is appropriate for you at this time.

Together, you will explore:

  • Your experience with Tarot
  • Your intentions for reading
  • Your strengths and blind spots
  • Whether certification is advisable now or later

This conversation is honest, grounded, and professional. Some applicants are encouraged to wait. Others are guided toward supervision or certification preparation.

3. Professional Tarot Supervision

Cost:

  • Single session: $150
  • Multi-session package available

Supervision is a cornerstone of ethical practice in counseling, therapy, and coaching. Tarot should be no different.

Supervision sessions may include:

  • Reviewing challenging client situations
  • Ethical and boundary questions
  • Confidence issues and self-doubt
  • Clarifying interpretations that felt “off”
  • Navigating client attachment or dependency

This offering is suitable for both certified and non-certified readers. Many professionals engage in supervision on an ongoing basis.

4. Master Tarot Reader Certification

Certification reflects demonstrated mastery, not participation.

Certification includes:

  • Pre-test consultation
  • Formal assessment of Tarot reading skills
  • Evaluation of ethics and professional judgment
  • Certification upon successful completion

Certification may require additional supervision before passing. Not all applicants pass on their first attempt. This is intentional and protective of the integrity of the work.

This work focuses on:

  • Public responsibility and leadership
  • Teaching and dissemination
  • Media and professional presence

Grandmaster work is not about advancement. It is about service.

Frequently Asked Questions Before Applying for Tarot Reading Course

There isn’t a strict number of years I look for. What matters more is your relationship with the cards. If you already understand the structure of Tarot and have spent time working with it, even informally, that’s usually enough to begin. You don’t need to feel completely confident. In fact, most people don’t when they apply.

Not necessarily, but it helps. Many people come to me after reading for friends or family and realizing they want to take it further. Some are already doing paid readings but feel unsure about consistency. Wherever you are, we work from that point and build forward.

Most people reach a stage where self-study stops being enough. They want to know if they’re actually interpreting the cards well, or if they’re just guessing. There’s often a quiet feeling that they could go further, but they don’t quite know how. That’s usually when they reach out.

Confidence is a big one. Not just believing in yourself, but trusting what you’re seeing without over-explaining or second-guessing. Another challenge is staying clear and grounded when a client is emotional or asking difficult questions. That’s where supervision becomes really important.

We talk about it honestly. Emotional reactions are part of real readings, especially when people are dealing with relationships or major life changes. I guide students on how to stay calm, how to respond without becoming overwhelmed, and how to maintain professional boundaries while still being compassionate.

It can help, but it’s not required. My own background in the psychology of religion shapes how I supervise, but what I look for in students is awareness and openness. If you’re willing to reflect on your responses and learn from them, that’s more important than formal training.

Clarity, more than anything. Clarity in how you read, how you communicate, and how you hold your role as a reader. I don’t just teach Tarot meanings. I help you understand what’s happening during a reading and how to work with that responsibly.

Yes, and that’s actually quite common. You don’t need to arrive fully confident. What matters is that you’re ready to be honest about where you are and willing to improve. Confidence tends to grow naturally once your foundation becomes stronger.
