Welcome to 2022
All the “Happy New Years”, we hear and see at this time of year irrepressibly spur us to re-establish and re-position intentions for the year ahead. We anticipate, hope and worry about what will happen, loosely based on what transpired the year before. Most people are hoping not to see a repeat performance of the past couple of years. As someone recently exclaimed, “I really hope this is not 2020 TOO!”
For fun and personal growth, experiment with organizing your visioning into segments. Focus on those aspects of yourself that you may have forgotten to appreciate like intuition, spirit, and adventure. Consider writing a gratitude journal. Spiritual guides across all disciplines extoll the values of gratitude. It is a solid road to enlightenment. Return to one of those self-help programs that may have gotten waylaid in your past, like the “Artist’s Way” by Julia Cameron. Sign up for an online class to learn a new skill which may become an active form of meditation. Like knitting for example.
Our western culture insists that we become more efficient “multi-taskers”. But there is a cost. It has become increasingly more difficult to focus our energy on one single thing until it’s completed to our satisfaction. Our homes are annoyingly littered with unfinished projects; our relationships clogged with incomplete, stilted and superficial conversations. The results of our efforts are too often notches below the standard of quality we aspire to. To mono-task is to focus, to get into that wondrous mental state of flow and to complete something that you are thrilled to see matching your vision that you had in the planning stages.
Jump Start with a Vision Board
The first step is reflecting on what the last year’s successes were, what was left incomplete and needs to be re-intentioned for this year is to create a vision board. It’s creative and affirming. Back and forth communications with our unconscious minds is done in visuals like pictures, videos, and paintings. Creating a vision board will open a channel of manifestation bringing towards you what you desire the most. Most importantly, be self-compassionate for a change and make it fun!
Begin with a large poster board and a stack of images. We have no shortage of random images these days. Search out images that speak to your inner self. Following a quiet meditation and/or prayer, flip through images selecting those that click intuitively with what you want to see approaching you in the coming year. Once you have a sizable stack, paste them on your board and fix your dream collage to a wall that you gaze upon often. You are constellating the power of the unseen world to aid in manifesting your dreams. Magic power.
In esoteric teaching, one of the primary tenets is “as above, so below”, and “like attracts like”. By energetically projecting images out into the world, those things that are represented by those images in the manifested world, find their way to you. Seeing is believing, and believing is manifesting.
Power of Action
Authentic spirituality is expressed through action. Our actions are what brings the light. Meditation and prayers carry power but it’s the energy of action that dynamically honours your soul’s expression. It begins with what you are visioning, but the path to enlightenment is inherent in what you do. Ask yourself, “Does this express and demonstrate my soul’s purpose?” If not, why do it? If you don’t know what your soul’s purpose is, do a visioning board with an intention to express your soul and the sacred in your life. That’s a wonder-filled place to start. You might be shocked at the images that you compile which express your soul’s purpose.
Your 2022 Tarot Card
For those of you who are familiar with the Tarot, spend a few moments determining your coming year tarot card by adding your birthday (day and month) to 2022 and studying the corresponding Major Arcana card. I added 11 (for November) to 21 (for birth day) to 2022 = 2054 (the magic of numbers is revealed! I was born in 1954). I added 2 + 5 + 4. 2022 will be a Strength card year for me. The Strength card represents physical strength, health and self-discipline. It is the power card of prowess, stealth, and mind over matter. In the shadows, Strength will teach me lessons related to adaptation, imbalance, wasted and scattered energy. I will have to be ever mindful of temptations to impulsively!
I wish you a year filled with spirit, love and fulfillment in every aspect of your life. Make this coming year one to remember with gratitude and the fondest of memories.
Blessings Kathleen

How Will My Divorce Go and Is this New Man the One?
Review
“Kathleen, thank you so much for this afternoon! My mom has been to many psychics in her life but she said that you were the first one that she truly felt comfortable with. You have no idea how accurate you were on some things with both of us! She has already been raving about you to all of her friends so I wouldn’t be surprised if a few call you. Thanks again and hope to be in touch in the future” Tracey
